This summer, let your child explore the art of pottery and indulge their creativity in a fun, hands-on environment.

Our Clay + Craft Workshop Series introduces kids to the magic of clay, from hand-building to surface decoration, allowing them to create their own unique sculptural and functional pieces. With guidance from experienced instructors, campers will develop new skills, experiment with different forms, and bring their ideas to life. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy.

COST PER PERSON, PER SESSION:

  • $400/Weekly Half Day - 9AM-12PM

  • $750/Weekly Full Day - 9AM - 3PM

After June 1 - No Installment Plans available

  • $450/Weekly Half Day - 9AM-12PM

  • $800/Weekly Full Day - 9AM - 3PM

THE EXPERIENCE:

During each week-long workshop our young art students will: 

  • Learn different hand building techniques: pinch, slab, coil, sculpting

  • Experiment with different tools, underglazes (paints) and molds

WHAT TO BRING:

  • A nut free lunch, water bottle + snacks

  • Clothes that are ok to get dirty. Clay does not stain but other materials like glazes may. We will also be taking trips to local parks weather permitting for lunch, inspiration and material sourcing excursions so a change of clothes to keep at the studio for the week may be helpful.

PLEASE NOTE:

After camp, the staff at the studio will apply a final clear glaze coat to selected pieces and submit them for kiln firings. Pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after class. You may not receive an email when pieces are ready. Feel free to email us to check the status of your child’s work before pickup. Our storage space is limited. Work must be collected within 2 months from the date of the class or will be discarded.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:

Notify hello@uptown-clay.com at least 1 week prior to the class to receive a full refund minus $50 processing fee. Cancellations between 1 week to 48 hours prior to the class receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
