The Experience:

Ready to paint some pottery? Join us for a fun, hands-on experience where you can decorate your own unique pottery piece crafted during one of our workshops or purchase a piece from our selection of pre-made pottery. Come solo or bring friends—everyone is welcome!

We’ll glaze fire your work of art and have it ready for pickup in -2 weeks.

Please note:

You will not receive an email when pieces are ready. Feel free to email us with a photo of your piece to check in on the status before pickup. Work must be collected within 2 months from the date of the class or will be discarded. Open Studio hours for collection can be found on our website here.

Anyone under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: Notify hello@uptown-clay.com at least 48 hours prior to the class to receive a refund or to reschedule your Try Clay class. There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows within 48 hours of the scheduled class.

Making Sessions: we’ll explore using different hand-building techniques to craft a one of kind hand-built piece. Our instructors will be there to support you in bringing your vision to life!

Painting Sessions: Join us for a painting session to finish a piece made during one of our making sessions or choose from our selection of pre-made pottery. Come solo or bring friends—everyone is welcome! We’ll glaze fire your work of art and have it ready for pickup in -2 weeks.

PLEASE NOTE:

2 sessions must be booked if you would like to create and finish your own work. It will take approximately - 3 weeks for you work to dry and go through the first, bisque, firing. Once your piece has been bisque fired it is ready for glazing you can schedule a painting session to add your custom decoration. You will not receive an email when pieces are ready. Feel free to email us with a photo of your piece to check in on the status before pickup.

Unable to make it back for a painting session? For $20/piece our staff will dip in clear and your piece will be ready for pickup in -5 weeks.
