Try Clay

Cost per person, per session is $85.00.

THE EXPERIENCE:

Curious about pottery? Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll craft your own unique pottery piece. Come solo or bring friends—everyone is welcome!

In this 2-hour workshop, our experienced instructors will guide you thorough each step of the making process, from centering the clay to shaping your piece, and tidying everything up.

We provide all the tools and clay.

The workshop is experiential only. Pottery is a craft that requires practice to master. Pieces often form cracks or break during the drying or firing process. Non-attachment is a great skill to practice with pottery. 

If you would like to keep pieces you made we have 2 options for you.

FINISHNG PIECES:

Have our staff finish your piece for $20 each. Pieces will be dipped in white and ready for pickup in 4 weeks.

or we will bisque fire any pieces you would like to keep and you can book a Pottery Painting Session to decorate the piece yourself. Choose from our selection of in house underglazes, or dipping glazes. Bisque fired pieces will be ready for a glazing appointment 3 weeks from the event.

PLEASE NOTE:

Work must be collected within 2 months from the date of the class or will be discarded. Open Studio hours for collection can be found on our website here.

Participants must be 12+. Anyone under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: Notify hello@uptown-clay.com at least 48 hours prior to the class to receive a refund or to reschedule your Try Clay class. There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
